Coffee Table Book
Industrial Light & Magic: The Art of Innovation is an extensively illustrated history of the multiple-Academy-Award®-winning visual effects company founded by George Lucas in 1975. This book features a behind-the-scenes record of the state-of-the-art innovations that have driven moviemaking magic; from the filmmakers, artists, and technicians who were there, breaking barriers and changing the history of cinema.

Spectrum of Color
The book cover design organizes ILM’s breath of work by color, creating a rainbow spectrum of color of ILM’s most iconic VFX shots.

Spot Varnish
We pitched the idea of spot varnishing the individual images on the cover to create more emphasis on the film shots. Abrams, the publisher, loved the idea and implemented this special print technique in the final production run.
