ILMxLAB is Lucasfilm’s laboratory for immersive entertainment, virtual reality and mixed reality. The combined talents of Lucasfilm, Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound are reinventing the way stories are told and experienced, connecting artists with their audiences like never before. We joined forces with ILMxLAB to create a visual story for their brand.
Fusing the iconic Star Wars X-wing with a modern X letterform, the ILMxLAB icon was born.
Details matter. We are thoughtful about the design process and invest time into making sure the little details are right (e.g. ILMxLAB “X” logo grid above). Attention to detail builds a strong foundation for future success in the brand and company.
Inspired by Luke’s Rebel x-wing flight suit, the colors selected were Ash, Slate, Rebel Orange and Obsidian. The color palette is nostalgic of the classic films while still providing a modern look.
